Description

Nothing special, just a snap of my backyard during our continuing snowstorm. Everyone here (Missouri) has been wanting a white Christmas for the last few years. Now, everyone's complaining about the snow, and the roads - just no satisfying 'em :-D Yes, that's an old telephone pole in my yard - I'm crazy like that.... I collect glass insulators, those pretty things on top of the poles. A freind from St. Louis trailered that pole here a few years ago, and we planted it there, and loaded it up with insulators. Not your every day yard decor LOL! Hope everyone is having a great Holiday weekend! Stay safe!

Hey..it is special...and very awesome shot..never cut yourself or your uploads short Mr! They are GREAT!! I personally love the snow...but I grew up shoveling it...so lol As for people crying for snow and then complaining about it...I hear you there...I think that is the stupidest thing! But...I am odd like that. As for your yard decor...hun if it makes you happy then have at it! I think its great you have something that you love to collect and a wonderful wife that allows you to have it! :-) Many yeas ago when I was first married...we were redoing my kitchen in the place we'd just moved into...well my husband at the time had a transmission blow in our only means of transportation...I let him bring the transmission inside and helped him rebuild it on my kitchen floor....wow did that bother allot of people we knew...they couldn't believe I would "allow" him to do something like that...I figured if he was happy doing it for us and we had no garage at the time...let him go for it..we are redoing the flooring anyways! lol

Hey, everyone, thanks for the look and comments! Barry, that pole is not all that tall; maybe 25 feet from top to ground, plus about 2 feet in the ground. Have a look at it being installed at http://www.rodslair.com/news/pole.html

I was going to say, "What a great find - a pole still with glass insulators intact!" (LOL) What a fun thing to have in your yard as a collectible!
