Description
It's very interesting opening Poser again after six months of working with Maya. What's most surprising is how many skills that were taught for Maya could actually be applied to lesser programs. Efficiency is the problem most plagued when dealing with animation. My professor, an animation veteran with films like Chronicles of Narnia, Spiderman 3, Terminator Salvation, and Cats and Dogs under his belt, taught us some invaluable tips to save memory and maximizing render speed.
An image like this, at this resolution (1080P), would not have been possible 6 months ago on my computer. I have performed NO system upgrades of any kind.

How did you get the speed and memory management improvements? Is it something that you can share? Thanks, Norm

I agree, very nicely-done render. I've got a very sub-par rig and memory is constantly an issue for me - I agree with nfjeldheim, any advice on this would be appreciated! I may not use Maya (yet) but as you said it seems the tips can apply to smaller programs.

Lovely portrait - Although I have never used Maya, I agree that learning in one package can often be translated into another - and it is always fun to try! I would recommend using Corvas' arm fix, but otherwise the lighting, DoF and expression in this are superb!
