Just something I made a few days ago. I love how her eyes came out, I'm really happy with it.
Ugh, today at work sucked so bad...hopefully Tuesday will be better. Looking forward to having the day off tomorrow, even though today was my first day back. *sigh*

This is a beautiful portrait, Summer. Something I learned early on in my years as a photographer was that the best portraits always .. always .. are created when there is a rapport established between the photographer and the model. It's like the "chemistry" we see sometimes in a movie between two actors. You can't make this happen .. it's there or it is not. When it's not we know it instinctively and the scenes feel flat. When the chemistry is real and it clicks .. even a bad movie can be saved by a few electric exchanges. I have discovered over the past few months that this rule holds true, as well, working with 3D characters. There are some characters which do absolutely nothing for us. We may even imagine that they will when we see the promo images .. but once we are sitting in Poser or Daz at the screen .. there's just nothing happening. We can make something presentable from such a match .. but for any viewer with awareness there will always be "something lacking" in the result. When a figure or character puts a sparkle in our eye, however, then true magic occurs and others will puzzle at how we could possibly make a certain model look so stunning. Sometimes even the creator of the character will marvel at what we have produced. It is very clear that you have such a rapport with Yaana. For me, the most beautiful portrait I have seen of her, and there are many fine ones, is yours. You know the one! ;-) There is a true connection happening within this portrait .. yet, the model is not looking at us .. she is looking at You. A wonderful creation! Terry
