My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

nice scene!

Oh how wonderful! The last time I paddled was in Mauritius and if I remember correctly, I landed upside down in the ocean a couple of times! These girls don't look to steady either... Hope they made it! C :))

Sounds marvellously quiet, apart from the carols of course. I can row quite well but tend to circle in a one man canoe! These girls look quite intense!

I would love to be there :)))

OK slaves, bend to the oars...err, paddles. Paddle well and live. Looks like fun and a little edgy for these girls.

Outstanding capture Clive.

A moment more and she would have either hollered to ask what you were doing or waved a big hello for the lensman. :-)

This reminds me of how much I used to love to canoe! (I'll be happy to teach Andrea how to not go 'round in circles.) :P Wonderful capture!

I'm hopeless in canoe's! They look such great fun but my balance is rubbish! So, the result is predictable!!!! Great picture... Rob
