Description

ODST:Ghost Hi everyone, I hope you all have had a great X-mas. Ok this is one of my first att at bringing elements together, the BG is a photo I had taken. The reason is 1.) taking photos is by far easier then building every 3d element in my enviroments. 2.)This frees up time;) so that I can focus on characters and elements that are needed. Im a one person show as you all know:) I have a few Im working on, Im still in need of some Elites. I have asked a few guys who had modeled some pretty great looking Characters, but no reply as of yet, fingers crossed;) The ODST models are by:/ Nate Rogers Thanks Buddy:) Characters & Lighting rendered in 3d max //BG Photo taken about 15min from home:) Postwork CS2 I hope you all like the results so far. CHEERs.

Great integration, you matched the stylization of your graphic novel style to the photo as the background perfectly! Love the haze too- it adds a lot of realistic depth and atmosphere to the scene. I bought my son his first set of real Legos- I got the Halo set with a hybrid helicopter plane thing and an alien ship! heheh! If there is ever a photo of landscape I have that you would like to try out, let me know, it could be interesting to see the result!

Man Tony, the second I got my email notification that you had uploaded a new image I knew it was going to make my jaw drop. The photo background is perfectly blended to the pieces style. If you hadn't told us, we never would have known. The soldiers look incredible, and as always your attention to detail is inspiring. Excellent work buddy.

great work all round there - texturing, lighting, compositing. The guy in the middle is left handed.

Excellent work with one quibble on my part. I'd have used the clone tool in Photoshop to bring some of the snow up so it looks like their feet are sinking in, which they would be.

Don't know how I missed this. Very well integrated into the scenery. Overall great work! I wonder what it would cost to get one of those suits. Probably have to trade in my car, and then take out a huge loan and then rob a bank, and then move some weapons internationally, and bring some drugs up from south america. Might be able to swing one then, heh. Great work dude!

Thanks everyone:) I realize the ground looks like snow but its frozen sand:) and the blowing haze in the background is real not post. aside from the wash in the filter work to blend both 3d and photo what you see is in the photo:) I wanted to thank you for your feed back, I plan on improving on this tech;) Happy NewYear everyone!
