Description

Slowly, as faith and belief changed Old Gods fade into the cold, deep sea. Memory becomes stories, and thier once powerful voices echo faintly in the still waters. The sea however, remembers all..time in it is locked in a still moment. Here the Old Gods await their eventual rebirth. This is really an exercise in trying to muster some form of inspiration. I have been very unhappy with much of what I have produced lately...that and getting bored with it! If any one can suggest ways of renewing interest and creativity please let me know!!!

Dude, man Toad the Wet Sprocket Screamed at me with this Image, awesome, just awesome I will not take these things for granted how can I hold the part of me that only you can carry it needs a strength I haven't found but if it's frightening, I'll bear the cold and on the telephone you offer warm asylum I'm listening flowers in the garden laughter in the hall children in the park I will not take these things for granted anymore Toad the Wet Sprocket

This is awesome Shane! The atmosphere, the reflections and the story! Whenever I have the feeling my muse has left me I just work on little things without the intention of finishing a render. Sometimes just lighting, pose, morphs.. In a few days something that might renew the spirit arises then :)

Beautiful image! Try ytour hands on something you've never done before. That'll help, too, sometimes. :-) Corrie

A little bit of silliness. A bit of humor. concentrate on a single feature that You consider insignificant and make it significant. I am having exactly the same feelings about rendering. Feeling this way for about three weeks now. Relaxing away from the computer, taking photos and studying a new book on lighting.. Going back and re-rendering old scenes from several years ago.. By the way, love your image.. Excellent image.. well done..!

Very expressive scene. That Bryce mat on the heads perfectly fits to it.

Wonderful! I wish I could help you with how to get your muse/inspiration back, but I'm suffering from the same malady. Happy New Year my friend!

I love the comp and lighting here Shane... I always take a trip around the web visiting historical sites, art sites that cater to different genres, visit sites dedicated to ancient history etc. After a few hours of reading and visiting and a cup of coffee or two...my muse almost always gets a jolt and Im off and running again. Not to mention, alittle more enlightened :)
