Description
Aker Spitsbergen, the largest floating oilrig in the world.
Its buildt at Aker Stord Shipyard in Norway.
Aker Spitsbergen is buildt for arctic conditions. Its self propelled, so it dont need a tug boat. The drilling deck/tower is buildt in, not exposed to the bad weather.
Aker Spitsbergen is a RAM rig, meaning it has two seperated drill towers.
Also buildt for drilling at extream water depths. Dont need anchors to stay on place and have stablizers that works in 5m (15 feet) big waves.
It costs about one billon dollars. Want one?
