Just 21 hours left of 2009 here in Germany! Time for me to wish you all "Guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr" - a good slip into the new year (literally translated).
Leo and I wish you all a peaceful, surprising, happy and healthy new year. May the happiness last and the surprises be good ones for you!
It was a good year for us, despite all the crisis, moving home, this and that... everything, even bad things, turned out to something good. If I would have a wish for the new year I would wish "Encore, please" ;o)
And to emphasize our good wishes I filled up the image with luck symbols.
A chimney sweeper: If you meet him this is a lucky sign, touch one of the buttons on his jacket and be even more lucky. And if you are VERY lucky he will smear some soot on your cheek.
The four leaved clover: I think that this is international, right?!
A ladybug (called Lieveheersbeestjes in Holland - one of the few words I know in this language but maybe one of the cutest): These little critters are often used together with clover-leafs and
The horseshoe: I made sure to pose it corretly so that "the luck will not fall down" ;o)
Some symbols are missing but I had to leave something for New Years's day ;o)
The chimney keeper's tool (called Stosstern/push-star) is something Leo modelled for me (with lots of cursing because he initially he wanted to add bones to it while I was pawing with my hoofs).
The extendable ladder was made by Geralday and is availabe in his freestuff section.
The clover and the ladybug where added in postwork with brushes (clover) and by painting after an old resource I found on my heartdrive. The artificial look of the bug is a wanted effect as I we decorate birthday candles with such ladybug-symbols.

Ha! 4pm, 31st December... I guess I get to see the New Year in before most od the rest of the world... or maybe not... I'm off to a friends place with lotsa great red wine... I may be asleep before the clock ticks over 12pm. But... I should be awake when 2010 arrives at your doorstep, I really love being first at something. unda gleeben glouten globen - mean anything??? I use to think it was German for "I love Rock'n'Roll.... It's in a Def Leppard song. I found out a few years ago it's just made up and use to replace: 1,2,3,4 ...as for the picture, I love all the good luck stuff you put in the picture, make sure ms. poser doesn't walk UNDER THE LADDER - that's bad luck - lol
