Description
The Frari’s Basilica. The marvellous carved clock by Francesco Pianta (17th Century), made of a single piece of cherry-wood.
At the end of the enclosed parchment F. Pianta wrote::
“AND NOW I STOP THE FLIGHT OF MY PEN FOR I DO NOT WANT TO FORCE YOU TO LISTEN THE TRIUMPHS OF A TYRANT WHICH YOURSELF EXPERIENCE EVERY MOMENT”.
