Description

On Christmas Day the Serchio River, breaking the levees flooded much of this area and today there is danger of further influx of water from the flood of the Serchio or leakage from the banks of Lake Massaciuccoli. At the time many families had to flee their homes near the lake and others may be forced to do so, we hope for a decrease in rainfall to prevent this tragedy. Buon fine anno e felice anno nuovo Happy New Year Thanks for looking and for previous comments

Lovely dettagli e colori invernali. Le sofferenze provocati dalle inondazioni è terribile. Mi auguro che la pioggia diminuisce rapidamente. Buon anno Mario! This is a beautiful picture, and so cold! Wonderful sweep across the fields to the trees that look so small in the distance. Lovely detail and wintry color. The suffering that floods cause is terrible. I hope the rain lessens soon. Happy New Year Mario!

Oh notizie difettose! Oh bad news! I hope it doesn't happen, That would be bad for the families effected and not a good way to start out the new year. Your photo makes it seem so beautiful and peaceful, hard to imagine how quickly it all can change. I hope disaster can be averted.

Speriamo bene ! Tomorrow at 13.00 should arrivara about the wave of pina Serchio close of the bank restored to them 'we have the answer: if the bank holds is likely to end up only with the fear: If the bank does not take water from the Serchio spillage would go to swell the lake to exit from the banks. There is now a good awareness of the work and a moderate optimism about the outcome. Hopefully well!

Excellent shot & gorgous scene! Nature doesn't always cooporate with our plans. How decieving beauty can be; not knowing what lurks behind it. You have still captured a splendid scene, though!
