Description
Tonight Julia and I shot our Christmas interior decorations since we really didn't have enough time to do so last weekend. It was a major annual photography event! Took two bottles of wine and a lot of Christmas music (although Christmas has actually passed on the calendar it isn't "officially" over in our house until after New Years - maybe even later).
And we got some interesting photographs. This is one of several.
This one is an ornament on our tree. It's transparent, and I had to time my one second exposure to the blinking light behind it. The majority of the lights on our tree are blinking, or flashing lights as they are sometimes called, all independently blinking of each other. So the tree and all its shadows are constantly changing. It produces hours of entertainment because every second is a different combination of light and shadows.
I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and as Tiny Tim said, "God bless us everyone". We'll sure as hell will need it in Twenty-Ten!
