UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I must be odd...the first thing I looked for were tools and machinery like lifts and such...then the windows. lol I like both versions Bill, remember the B&W well. Very cool seeing both for sure! Thanks and hope your first day of the year was a wonderful one! :-)

I'm odd too. First I looked at the fuselage of the plane, then the red trafic cone and finally at the windows... wonderful photo!! I like a picture "after and before"!! Excellent!!

I love the subtle rusty hues of the ceiling beams, the gorgeous yellow light through the windows, and the blue of the shadows on the plane and the floor. Such harmony and variety at the same time. I absolutely loved this in b&w, but it's beautiful in color, as well. Excellent image!

Lovely capture Bill, It is amazing how different things attract the eyes of each individual differently, that's what makes the world a different place to each of us.. must admit I went from the bottom of the photo up to the windows.

'Here, in color, the predominant eye-catcher to me is the windows. Hence the new name and the new posting'. You will be on Bill Gates's Christmas list for sure mate! Steve Jobs....errrr not so much.

I went back to look at the October image. This one in color is far more interesting. Of course the red clamps and cone add, but even the windows with yellows are now alive and the scene is no longer industrial drab. Black and white photography can be beautiful, but requires strong contrast. Looking forward to your images in this new year.

I like this colored one. The windows really are the focus of interest.

The color is so subtle, but the light just makes this shot. Love the splash on the right wing!!

Great shot Bill .

Stellar POV and lighting effects in this shot of what appears to be Douglas C-47 Skytrain/Dakota, Bill. Difficult to tell at this angle, of course. As for Windows, I thought at first you were referring to a PC operating system.
Richardphotos
you really have a knack for composing aircraft shots.Happy New Year

You know my friend. I have an insame pleasure to contemplate a sand grin, then do you believe take that is not worth the blow?? A wonder still. Many thinks that the photographs do not return in the Art But good. I believe that there are savours in all, just that some people do not test the evolution of the desire to know like. Those which have wisdom will be of my opinion. All truth things is not good to say but times that reopen the eyes of some and wisdom install and the glittered heart of its passions. For a well proportioned compliment and to tenderize the work presented and the Artist in going head high. MICKEYRONY ((5++)) Tu sais mon ami . MICKEYRONY ((5++))

The windows my be the predominant part of this photo but the truth be that they do not take away from the plane itself. Must be the photographer. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours. Dana
