Must have been disappointing for the creatures checking him out...nothing to eat except for termites:-))) Like the composition and your crop!

I wonder how many of those creatures anointed him with a sacred liquid! Super pic, I like the way the background echoes the wood.

Awesome capture. Dave has a thing for driftwood. We have some as a yard decoration. I am not sure where he found it though.

It looks like it has a pommel to hold on to. That would be a wild ride! I like the curve of the tail. Excellent capture!

The northern half of the west coast, has the very best things washing up on the beaches. Cool drift wood and animal tracks. Dana

another wonderful shot from your recent batch, and it reminds me of some of your wood shots a while ago, where you caught such massive variations & movements on the wood. This one isn't only wonderful for its shape, but for all the life on it, the protrusions and colonies and twists & turns. And the footsteps carry its line into the distance (and there's that little "bluff", that little tuft in the background that shows up a lot in your beach shots). And it's nice against that slate blue sand; and it's a nice contrast to the bleached blues & whites of the water on top. Another fine nature shot from you, and very vital & complex.

WOW! Oooh, this rocks! I'm catching up on your gallery because there have been a few odd crises taking place and I've had so little time...I was on a post-and-run schedule here, and so I'm seeing this after the posts you've made later on. I have to say though that despite the kind of reverse-viewing that you're gallery is getting now, this image stands in its own context wonderfully. It's so distinct and so compelling. I love the fact that this looks like so many wonderful and alien things...it's got my creative juices flowing, and great art always does that. WOW!
