Description

Often I find that life influences my art. However, there are times when life calls out so strongly, that one can not help but answer that call artistically. This is one of those times. Colorado is burning. Well over 100.000 acres have burned in this latest round of fires that started last weekend. And right now, they are saying it may take literally months to totally contain some of the worst ones. This is caused mainly by some high winds, and the fact that it is extremely bad drought conditions out here. And so, here is my response. And wouldn't you know it, when I started this pic a couple of nights ago, it began to rain... From a fellow Coloradoan, this is an awesome picture. Let's hope that some of the wonderful energy from this reaches into the skies and gives the hot shots some much needed assistance.
