Description

This is a model that I found at ShareCG (no readme). I fixed some of the geometry, remapped it and set it up as a Poser figure. The Boeing model 314 was built around the wing of the XB-15, but with much more powerful engines. This one is textured as the "Dixie Clipper," which inaugurated trans-Atlantic Clipper service in 1939. The "Dixie Clipper" also transported President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the Casablanca Conference in January 1943. Imported from Poser 6, and rendered in Vue 6.

WOWEE! That is SO cool! I've always been a fan of the Pan American Clippers, and this is the first CGI that captures the spirit of those old planes. Fantastic job!

A really convincing render. There can never be "too many" Flying boats...
