i had no idea what to do for a background, so maybe i'll come back to this some other time and work on it.

really good rendition of the fleshes streams, and the overhall expression is really good, as it is the idea.. I am not fully convinced by the hands dimension (they look so small) and I'd work out the head a bit more, defining eyes size better. The background looks fine to me.

i agree with gallimel about the eyes and hands, seemed the more i worked on them the worse they got. like i said, i'll have to come back to this one some time.
