This reminds me of a studio session at art school very soon after term started where we had to draw 6 or more moving nudes who danced around the room..I didn't know where or how to start! I think you would have coped perfectly!

An intriquing composition,Ana.Makes one wonder what they are walking toward or away from.

it is always such a delight to see these minimalistic drawings from you, they tell a tale with just a few lines. this scene leaves me in a feeling of uncertainness, there is even a bit of fear coming up looking at these half bodies, a strange and exciting atmosphere, almost intangible, vague. quite wonderful done, ana :))

This could be a commentary about our perception of life and how we can cope with it - we can only see little bits, some familiar some menacing, yet we walk on and try to fit all the pieces together. I hope there is some meaning in the abstract - art and life!

Ana, it's almost like an empty room on top, and the same room below, only the room below has people walking through it. You've overlapped time: It's as if you made a photograph of your home with people in it, then you made a photograph of your home with nobody in it; then you combined the two photos. We see two time-worlds, split by a powerful black barrier. And both worlds exist in the same picture. It's a powerful justaposição of two worlds, separated by a barrier; and that barrier feels like thought itself. Like all your work, it's from your deep intuition: It flows with wholeness & perfection the way Nikolay's photographs do, and I could mention other artists who have this "direct" way of expressing themselves. It has your wonderful freedom of line, your wonderful "lightning" brush strokes (brush strokes 'como relâmpa'), your way of putting thought into lines & shade, and your wonderful intuitive shading & ink washes, etc etc. I love your work, and this is another painting that hits us in the 'solar plexus'/plexo solar. Simple but wonderfully complex. Happy New Year dear friend! It's always a pleasure to walk in your world...

I don't know exactly why, but the walking legs make this perfect for me. It's just a feeling, but a good one I think it is because there is more than one overlap. It seems like there is more than one room, but also more than one layer: like another set of pictures/scenes UNDER this one. I think it is because your image has so many interesting borders; the frame around the picture even forms layers, which is how I think of this as multiple pictures sliding in and around each other. I love this and the way it makes me explore and think about it. Wonderful work!
