Description

While I try to wrap my head around Bagginsbill's stocking tutorial, and get this shader thing somewhat-kinda-sorta figured out, I thought I'd upload something a little different. I saw bmac62's 'Power' image and got to thinking about some photos I took a couple years ago at an air show I went to with my dad. This is the nose of a P-51 Mustang, arguably one of the most beautiful ariplanes ever built. Thanks for the looks, comments and favs!!

Nice Rod! I LOVE the Mustang! It's always been my favorite vintage plane. This is a nice shot too. Do you have any of the entire plane?

Looks great Rod. Photographically, you can easily imagine why I like this shot a lot. The POV is one of my favorites to get a unique result and you've got it here. All of us want clear blue skies for airshows but glad the big white, puffy ones were there when you needed them to offset the blue nose of your P-51. Thanks for your sitemail.

I can see why Bill's airplane photography reminded you of this shot. When I saw your image, his work was the first thing that came to mind. This is fantastic! I actually have very little interest as planes as planes, only as photographic subjects, and as such, this photo kicks some serious behind! And exciting pov -- well done!
