Description

Say hello to my first 3D model of 2010. I never got the hang of Zbrush's Zsphere feature, which sucks because it's AWESOME if you can learn it. I just never had the time to. They then came out with some updates in Q4 of 2009. I took a little time today to install them and to take the new Zsketch feature for a test run. With the help of the intro video tutorial on Pixologic's website, I managed to squeeze this out. There's still a lot to learn (like how to keep the edits once you return to the sketch mode). It's MUCH easier to work with then the original Zsphere tool. Basically you draw on the central Zsphere and it in turn creates lines of other Spheres in your path. You can then take ANY of them and adjust them to your liking (size, position, etc). Why is the Zsketch mode so much better then simply sculpting from a Sphere mesh? Well adding the Zspheres like this adds polys to the over all mesh. This prevents jagged and rough lines in you sculpting process. Same as the original Zsphere process, but MUCH faster and easier. Zsketching allows you to also create an entire body to sculpt just by...well sketching it. They also allow you to easily POSE your meshes as you wish! Needless to say, I'm a lot more excited about using Zbrush with this new feature in my hands. But like I said, still lots to learn.

That's incredible! I'm always amazed when I see what zbrush can do in the hands of someone who knows what their doing. Excellent work, and thanks for showing us how you did it.
