Description

Once upon a blue moon... This was the rising of the moon, taken with a manual telephoto lens. Through the haze of the hot atmosphere the moon is somewhat distorted. Even though it is orange/yellow, it was still a Blue Moon - second full moon of the month. The first in a series of three shots, taken here in South Africa near Malmesbury, about 40km north of Cape Town. I have tried to keep the colours as accurate as possible, while enhancing the exposure and contrast. Don’t howl, Clive

I love it Clive. Unfortunately my 75-300 mm Sigma lens is still in for repairs. I would have loved to capture the blue moon on camera. You did a superb job with this capture. Thank you for sharing my friend.

How beautiful and an excellent job as well. It was not as clear and bold where I am but we have had lots of haze and clouds. This is lovely with the use of the tree for giving this some depth.
