This is a bit of an update. From humble beginnings my photography is steadily improving.I started out with a Kodak point and shoot camera and progressed to a Sony A-200 Digital SLR camera.Other equipment that i currently have is the following: Tamron 70-300mm lens. We grew bananas in our yard back home. I loved them because even though they were smaller than what the grocery stores sold, they had more flavor and sweetness. Beautiful shot!

Excellent image of this most divine banana flower Christo! I agree with PJ - "home grown" bananas do taste sweeter! We had some in Namibia when I used to live there as a child!

An Outstanding shot, the flower looks HUGE! How do you get these at work? When I worked in a power station it was hot but very dirty,(that's coal for you).
