Description

There was a time when the City of Breda had a harbor in the center.. It was full of activity and ships.. Than came the insane 1960's when men lost it.. and they closed a river (!) and harbor inside the city.. just for a parking garage for cars.. = poluters... This part of Breda became (instantly) a no-go area .. Nothing to do.. just a place to stay away from.. In 2005 and 2007 men was wise again.. and they closed the garage and re opened the harbor and parts of the river.. It became the HOTTEST place in Breda.. with many bars and café s but this winter nature closed the harbor again.. Still the place is THE place to be.. It is such a beautyful part of town (again)

Nice story Chris... I love happy endings.... Where's your boat? Is it frozen in water somewhere waiting for next season? Is it winterized???? or... is Gwen shooting up and down the river causing waves and getting yelled at - by you - LOL.

Nothing like a happy ending! I love to hear things like this. Too often mistakes are made and never rectified. Now this is a vital part of the city again, and perhaps there will be ice-skating on the river!
