hey brad, don't worry about 'lame titles', lol: Ya ever come up with titles for abstracts? They range from the phantasmagorical to the plain--like "Abstract with Circles, 5". Your title is fine, and it describes the picture perfectly. Very nice handling of the water, and your composition puts two great lights in the piece: In the sky above, and the water below. Fine basic composition. And your light modulates to shadow quite well, as do the foreground grasses move between yellow highlights and dark shadows. But then you always handle complex grasses very well. And your background hills are in just the right faded hues, atmosphere gently swallowing up their definition. And your foreground & midground solo-trees--beautifully articulated--are matched by the lone boat in the background. Another sensitive landscape from you, and very well rendered & articulated, as always. I hope you had a fine New Years!

A quiet, peaceful composition, Brad. Even the gulls seem quite lazy... ;o) Nice POV, vegetation in the fore and mid grounds, and a sunset to fall asleep with. Warm regards, as temperatures drop again ( -13C to -22C ), in Scotland. Since the Jetstream has been jammed right down to the Mediterranean, Britain has faced temperatures morein keeping with our line of Latitude. Local authorities, already stretched with the 'Credit Crunch', are having to buy great amounts of rock salt, road grit, or, as one enterprising council, did just lay beach sand on the roads, in a failing attempt to keep the main roads open. If the cold snap ( since well before Christmas ) continues, the country may come to a halt. This year I've see the biggest icicles in this area. At least your render affirms that maybe there will be one day of decent weather in 2010. 2009 was our wettest on record, and there was a search warrant put out for the sun...;o) Warm regards, well at least my graphics card fan is warming me tonight, John.
