Description

Hi there. I tried to get some shots of snowflakes a few weeks in the past - after 10 minutes outdoor (about 15° below zero) I went to my home and lay my frosted hands on the radiator to get the senses back... I know, it's not the best background - but it's the best result I get for now. I think using a polarization filter on the lens could produce better results, but I'm not sure. Hope to get some suggestions here.

Honestly this is a pretty amazing result in and of itself! That is one hell of a macro lens to get this shot! A circular polarize may help with reflection... I am not sure what it would do for a snowflake, but you may as well try- its worth it for water shots alone-and in a few months time youll find plenty of use for it anyway.

Fantastic shot! I agree with JD, above, on polarization. I tried it on a damp spider's web. Wow!
