another piece of complex, sensitive seeing from you, something I find everytime I return to your gallery. The proportions are dramatic, such a large portion of sky given its looming stormy look (so much more dramatic full size). And you've given such modulated hues: Those grays are beautiful & they morph so deeply across the frame. And of course the intensified darks along the horizon make this feel very Midwestern/Texan, etc. (It's not a scene you see in every part of the country, lol. Ain't gonna happen in New Hampshire...) Then the expanse of trees & land feel slightly bleached from the dark sky, and you caught them in that just-before-a-storm place. A dramatic shot of a perilous moment; even the trees look like they're about to howl...Thanks for stopping in my gallery Richard, you're one of those artists I'm honored to have. If i hadn't been gone so much last year, I'd have been in your gallery more; so many dropped off my radar. But I'm finally taking up photography (!) after years of painting & drawing, and lord am I learning a world. It makes me so much more aware of what people like you do, and how far I have to go by comparison. And btw, I have a Mac, so the Farm filter isn't available for me. (We Apple-ites, we eat crumbs & berries and beg that the rest of the world won't forget us, lol.) Thanks for the recommendation, I'd have loved to try it out...
