I need help with this one! I wanted to go for a "made in crayon" look, but it just doesn't click... any ideas?

I think it looks cool. But if you want to add a texture... What I'd do is clone this to a new layer using one of the paper texture settings if the clone brush has that. I have no clue if that would work, but it may give you a few ideas, anyway. Good luck.
