Description

I have never seen one like this out side of a Sci-Fi movies. One of the things about moving from up north to down here is all the different bugs. Don't worry! I'm not going to hit you's with bunches of insect shots. Just thought this one was cool looking and because of the cold snap we are having here. I needed some filler shots here or there, till my next time it's nice enough to go out and get more. Hope you enjoy and do zoom. Thank's for the comments.

Just a few months ago we took five to six out of these out of our house and they were all over the place at the police department...turns out they are called wood-borer beetles. Careful not to squish them..they smell HORRIBLE!

mermaid it's right and left front legs are both under it's head. Middle left you can see but the middle right is obscured by it's body and it's hind legs on both sides are big and flat. Sham on you Bill. Now you have stinky foot. ;D Good news! It warmed up a little today. High of 60 degrees, so I went down to a local park and got a few more pictures. :D

Good lord, I lived my best years in the Gulf Coast of Texas and if this peaks your interest, let me tell you about a whole world of biting, stinging, flying, stinking bugs you just have to meet! LOL The tropical areas of Texas have things you only dream of on a bad night... Fine capture!
