Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It's a gorgeous path through the dune grass; what a wonderful place to walk!

Zoom is an absolute must! The detail, the course sand, the tough grass on the dunes. Here I go again. Favorite. (from one beach person to another)

another beautifully toned, nature-muted and modulated view from you, again of your beloved water & land. It rolls beautifully, the barn and stuff around it is in good focus but also partially dissolved by the atmosphere (as it should be), and your hues are just beautiful. Sensitive muted light & beautiful slate-blue air...You've again captured the hints of eternity whispering from every inch of the land you inhabit. You know, even if you hated being back home (which I know you don't, but just saying), I'd still be thrilled you returned, if just to get shots like these. You resonate with your surroundings like a water does to an ocean. Beautiful slice of mystery & primal beauty...

The damp air and the hard breeze... its a wonder the barns stay up. But it has a great ghostly feel to it.

The world would be so much better with teleportation technology! I'd zip over there in a heartbeat. I agree that zoom is a must for a photo like this. It's deliciously moody. There are so many things to see and I love the hints and whispers of moody fog and that sense of peaceful solitude. This is a great shot. As I write this, I'm about to head out to meet Corey, so we'll both be catching up a bit later on today. But I at least had to say something about this shot. It's gorgeous and yeah, it's making a little trip into my Favorites' file too.
