Description
I had noted about six months or so that I was trying out Anime and Manga styles to help stretch my traditional art genres. It's a challenge for me in both areas; there is so much detail work (for the splash/beauty shots) in the background areas as well as most of the costumes, but so little detail work in the actual figure it drove me insane.

I'm always looking to add more; detailing, props, textures, ect. I love cramming things into a piece to make it more 'real' if not realistic. More of the atmosphere can be tweaked with props, lighting, added textures.
Doing this strained my idea of what I accept as my artwork, strained my idea of perfectionism (which tends to get more than half my artwork tossed into the trash and NEVER seen.)to the breaking point, and skimmed down everything I put into a line art piece.
I welcome any crits, comments, and thoughts. ANY. I'm such a newcomer to this type of artwork-though I do find several artists that blow me out of the water in this style, I've never really done this sort of thing-that any sort of help is welcomed. Good, bad and ugly.

this style art would and should drive you insane - it's not meant to look realistic... I remember years ago when this style of cartooning was becoming popular.... I loved watching cartoons of Saturday mornings - when this style came out, it was "quick"... the frame to frame was jerky and still is... the animators would show the back of their heads a lot when they talked, so they didn't have to move their lips... In my opinion (not that it matters) This style of cartoon art ruined Saturday mornings - I honestly look at this style art as production, slap it together and don't care about detail - I've seen some good still art of this style, but I'm not a fan of this style at all - I like Scooby doo - toy story - Avatar... but this... they slap it together and it shows.
