This is So Not where I wanted it to go, but after 2 renders that took days apiece on my Quad Core I am done with it. An excellent render. I thought the "wet line" (that Bob is referring to) was actually shallow water, and if it is then it does have to have the defined edge it does have. The near clouds seem to be contained by masking, maybe a Distance shader in spherical mode. That can give them a smooth look, but does minimise the noisy scattering of tiny cloud particles you normally get. It's a trade off, in other words. But as I say, this is a beautiful scene.
