Description

Actually this should have been a Christmas contribution, but didn't make it in time because I experienced some problems with it...now it's a bit late but fits even better for me since we didn't have a white Christmas here at my place in Germany but now we're having loads of snow! :-) This was the first time my computer ran out of memory. It did render the image, but I could neither save the Bryce file nor render to disk. Too many Bryce trees! Guess I need 4 GB of ram but only have 2 yet. Well, so this is just a screenshot at least. Moon, stars, frame and signature are postwork in Picture Publisher. Oh - and the hut model is a free object I found somewhere, just gave it a new texturing. I hope you enjoy it nevertheless, and thanks for any comments you may leave, they are always very welcome.

Nicely done...the dark sky and dramatic lighting really make this image pop!You could try adding 2D trees in your background and mid-distance,which would populate your environment while keeping the size of the file low...shame you couldn't save the file, but at least you have this great render!

This is a wonderful image...too bad you couldn't save the file. Grafikeer's advice concerning 2D trees is the right way to go for these types of scenes in Bryce. I really love the textures and lighting you have used for this scene (especially the cabin). The sky is magnificent as well...moon and stars are a nice touch. Very well done!!!
