Hello everyone, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope you are all doing well; it's been forever since I've dropped in! After receiving a special little sitemail today, I thought I'd upload something.
I took this up near Grand Rapids, MN just this past fall. We took a long walk through the woods and came upon these train tracks; and a train was even parked there -- the colors were breath taking here; I had to take a few shots.
Hope this finds you all well and happy; I look forward to browsing the gallerys this weekend; just to see all the new stuff and probably lots of new faces.

Wow, Shari...this is like an old time railroad calendar illustration. The 1950s were full of these calendar-borne scenes. Looks like a sinking sun reflecting off the clouds turning them a beautiful and ever changing pink and gold before a long autumn night. Good to see you back.

WOW! This is amazing. I love the old fashioned texture this conveys and you're right, the colors ARE breathtaking. For heaven's sake, Sharilyn, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? It's been virtually eons since I last saw your lovely fotos, accompanied by your sweet smiling avatar. Since you've been away, our mutual friend, Jodie, has left the fold. Anyway, superlative colors, textures and perspective -- as the tracks disappear into the distance -- in this fine capture.
