Description

Completed in 1810 these 16 locks form part of the Devizes Lock Flight on the Kennet and Avon Canal. A total of 29 locks which raise the canal 237 feet in 2 miles (72 m in 3.2 km) or a 1 in 44 gradient. Not bad for 200 year old technology!
