I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

Great shot Wally, nice contrast between the foreground shade and the background sunlight, plus the added mystery of whats around the corner.

An eyecatcher in these cold days, Watty! Fine composition! The door leads us to the chairs inside. The right place to have a cold beer (Excuse the word "cold" in these days, I meant in summer, of course) Take care of you and yours in these cold days. My best wishes for the New Year.

This is lush and green. This reminds me of summer, which is a good thing in the depths of gray and dull winter. Very warm. This is great. I like it.
