Description
This lovely egret was watching me fillet a fish and began to make funny faces to attract my attention (which he did). With a choice slice on the tip of my knife I offered her a reward. With my other hand I lifted the camera and caught his act.

What a catch! I love the ruffled and uneven feathers. The expression is great. I really like this shot a lot. It's so clear and crisp and unexpected.
