Description

The only true voyage of discovery would be not to visit new landscapes, but to possess other eyes, to see the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to see the hundred universes that each of them sees. Marcel Proust

another of your beautifully modulated landscapes, the hills 'thought' on, the tree line soft & flush, the rolling land like a blanket & with a slightly yellowish glow...and one of your "lowering skies" which, here, has the feeling of a saturated peach-caramel sundae. (Visible full-size, especially.) A big soft rolling vision, and like many of your landscapes, both rich and very human, despite its size and sweep. Proust also wrote that famous passage about the 'madeleine', which he bit, and suddenly the little pastry brought back reams of childhood memories, all from that little piece of pastry. Your pictures do that---ie, not just transport us to childhood, but transport us to memory itself. As if these landscapes were etched in the deep folktales of our mind. Beautiful modulated work once more, Danny.
