Description

I didn't intend to make a dog portrait. This adorable dog was supposed to have a supporting role in some other picture, but while getting the textures ready and doing a test render, I fell in love with it. So just bare with it, this one is for me :-)

Very good portrait. A very doglike attitude, and the texture is superb. There are some minor details, which could be better, like the bone - or what it is - going through the dogs leg, and may be a certain "stifness in the back/hindlegs.. Then the lighting is very good, and the overall "feel" of the picture is very good.

i love the lighting and composition. the space to the right makes me feel the absence of the family he's waiting for, and reinforces his expectant expression. it's realistic enough to make me wince at those docked ears.
