There IS a sense of mystery here, but also a sense of calm...it's quite idyllic. I love the richness of the light and shadows and the colors are beautiful in their rich subtlety. Well seen and captured, especially the bark patterns on the nearer trees. I could stare at this for hours and that's always a good thing.

Neat shot! Very peaceful scene. But why is it called a "gum" pond? I certainly hope it's not because there are mounds of Bazooka wads under the surface...
