Description

Evening all :o) This is a shot from this afternoon of the River Tees frozen solid .The River at this point is about 100 metres wide and about 7 metres deep .I have never seen this River frozen like this ,although there have been times when there has been been ice in the edges .It just shows how cold it has been here in the Northeast of UK .Our Swans are finding it hard ,hopefully things will get better now that the wildlife trust have broken the ice in places along the edges :o).. Thanks for the look and any comments .I`ve been getting caught up a bit :o) Mick

Seems the cold is affecting places it was never that bad before...I'm so glad the wildlife trust is looking after the swans!

Beautiful shot--my son lives right across the road from Donner Lake (near Lake Tahoe) and he has seen it frozen solid in years past. Pretty amazing. But a river--now that's really something, scary even!!
