Hello, and thanks for stopping by...the above picture is of my kitty and me...
So, let's see...I started working with 3d art programs around 2005. My dad gave me a copy of Bryce and recently I've switched to Vue. My aim has always been to create a fantasy world that is both realistic and alien, a place people could explore and about which they could wonder. As a young boy I was greatly influenced by Tolkien's Middle-earth, starting, of course, with the Hobbit. As I got older I discovered the Silmarillion and the other books of Tolkien lore, and being already very interested in history, I found them fascinating. It is because of this that I began to do the same, to create a world. Up until recently it had always been of the written variety, with lists of kings, histories, etc. I also love to sketch strange plants and animals, and hope one day to really be able to bring them to life using 3d.
Well, that's about it....thanks for stopping by!

Excellent scene! The white light gives it a lot of depth.

Fantastic light to be sure, what impresses me is the way the plant comes alive in the light. The light seems to penetrate the branches making them appear translucent, with a slight internal glow. Very well done.

Yes, it is the first time, but glad you did. It certainly doesn't take away anything from the alienness of your world.

The figure adds a wonderful sense of scale and the shape of the plant looks quite menacing - wonderfully done image!

I love the light in this one.. and the woman gives us a sense of the size of the Asjawan.. how about some background story .. I want to know more about this creature/plant.. it seems menacing, and yet the Maiden doesn't seem afraid...

I like it! Nothing wrong with putting the odd person in your images - particularly if they're such powerful images as this!

It's very refreshing to see something a bit out of your usual style, especially when it's as good as this. Your lighting is fantastic and the addition of the person is spot on. Very good.

I don't think godrays are a good idea for your work... I prefer your "old" pictures.
