some of your landscapes have an analog look to me, and I can't completely say why; but while your clarity is beautiful, there's also a modulation of hue and light that reminds me of film as much as digital. (That's a compliment, I hope you know...) The shapes here are the usual stunning jutting rock formations one sees often in Utah, and your contrasts with the snow and dark trees is beautiful. Yet you've not emphasized anything so much that the rocks jump out at us: They're modulated by light & atmosphere, gently & beautifully. The 'framing' of forest crawling up both edges is just good composition; and the length of it as well as the empty sky seem just right for the nature of the shot. Once more, thoughtful work from you Richard; and once more I have much to learn from seeing what you do. A lovely shot of winter too, and how it interacts with vivid shape & hue...
