Description

Several years ago I made this model for a ( now defunct ) novelty toy company. It was modeled in Organica and Ray Dream Studio. At the time, Organica was available for Macintosh OS 9. I understand it was originally an Amiga program. It was a very intuitive meta-balls only modeler. After the introduction of Mac OS X, Organica's developers faded off the radar, with no intention of moving to Mac OS X. I didn't really do any 3D at the time. As a hungry freelance artist, I secured the job ( based on previous 2D work for the client ), ran out over the weekend and found the most intuitive and cheapest organic modeler I could get my hands on and made this by Monday. I think I paid $75 US for Organica at the time. Later in the project, I created much better textures. But I've lost all of that artwork in a power-surge that wiped my hard-drive back in 2006.
