This scene originally had a backdrop with a suitably spacey sky and the full Star Trek treatment but I dumped all that.
It works better as just a girl and her faithful robot companion in my opinion.

Yup - I agree, less is more. Sometimes having too much going on just distracts from the focal point of what the artist is emphasizing
