Description

I had started out modeling for a “Gaia’s Temple” theme; while watching CNN reports on the Health Care Reform bill…Normally I’m not one to mix Art & Politics, our political situation defies my sense of Logic, not to mention common sense. All the recent "politics by fear" TV ads, put out by various Special Interest Groups, are a good example. Unfortunately, the only “LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL” is the U.S.Congress. Just wait until you get Obama-care. I live in a socialist country and know what +70% taxation is like. I also know what long waiting lines for medical care mean. I also know what triage by waiting is (a way of killing off patients so one doesn't need to pay for them). I also know what politicians deciding who gets care and who doesn't due to costs is like. I was in medicine, but was booted out, like other of my colleagues, by budget cutting politicos. Not such a great system. Better with freedom of choice.

Nice composition. I live in Italy. In some parts of my country, health care simply sucks. In other parts, it's just excellent and mostly free. It depends on the honesty of the local politicians. I've undergone urgent surgery in december. Exams, surgery, post surgery, hospitalization. Everything came absolutely for free, with state of the art techniques. I just had to mind about my (very slight and non-serious) illness. This is a service open to everyone. Sure, taxes are high. But I wouldn't swap my healthcare system with any another one.

In New Zealand to go to the hospital costs nothing its all government funded for NZ citizens. To go to the dr's it cost me $15 a visit.. and medicine about $3 - $9 a prescription. Once a family or individual has got I think its 15 prescriptions then its free after that. Urgent surgery is done pretty much straight away and non urgent yes goes on a waiting list.. You can however have medical insurance and go to private hospital for urgent or non urgent surgery if you want to.. Great system even if we tend to grizzle about it...

Very telling image...won't get into the fray about healthcare...the whole back-n-forth political bullshit really gets my anger up.

this reminds me of the capitol building of Utah at Salt Lake City.it also is adjacent to a mountain right behind it.I have not had time to worry about Federal crap as Texas provides enough for the whole country. the insurance companies has the state government in their hip pockets. an insurance company was over charging by a lot. the state board told them they had to drop the price,----but they get to keep all the money that was collected over many months. because of my breakin last April when I lost a camera that was on a scheduled list as an addition, now my rates are going to be higher as I have to renew with another carrier.if it had not been on the list then it would not effect it outstanding modeling

If you close all the bases outside the US, withdraw all the troops from everywhere in the world and dismismis half of the generals you can have an excellent health care for all Americans for free and still will remain some money to send man to Mars.
