Description

I've tried so many different attacks on this capture to try to get the sparkle of the ice, which was so magical in reality! Not sure if I haven't played around too much....any ideas welcome. thanks in advance! Jean

I like the rather surreal look of this. In terms of capturing the ice crystals and such, I have no real idea how to offer helpful advice, but if you have photoshop (or the gimp) it might help to simply layer copies of the original image on top of each other...the untweaked layer as your base, with one or two layers of the same image with the mode set to "overlay" or variations of "overlay" and "Screen" and "multiply." One mode per layer. Or some such variation of that...basically, just play around. But in terms of this image as it stands, I love the quality of the effect--rather like a screen capture or a blown up segment of an image beamed to earth from some automated probe freshly-landed on a terrestrial type, extrasolar planet. Ah, my mind goes off in such odd directions at times.

like little lamps with light on the flowers...smile... and it's very difficult ot get them with the sparkle, cause either they are to spaarkly almost white or they are not sparkly... had this problems too...smile.. so I like what you did with shot
