Hello you all!
Â
I was born in Montreal, but I live in Québec city in the province of Québec in Canada.
Â
I’m totally new to this art and any other art, except probably for my colourful imagination. But I can’t pretend being an artist. I will try my best because I saw a great deal of talented people in this great community of yours. It’s appealing and I hope to be able to do a bit of my share soon.
Â
My primary language is French since I’m a French Canadian (Québécois) so please forgive me if I do or did some mistakes.
As an instructor for many years (Canadian Army) I must say for myself J
Â
Nobody is ever worthless; they always can be used as bad example J
Â
So say we all!

As a begining first render you really knocked this one outa the park. You got some nice subdued lighting and do not have the glaring ray trace shadows of many beginners. Some basic fixes... eyes are the heart and soul of a render and they need to have life. That is done through both sharpening and adding reflections either in the image to be rendered or in post work. Here because she is a bit distant and the image is dark sharpening will not help. But a simple reflect would. Go in with photoshop or psp etc and just add a single off-white or blue pixel on her left side of each of her eyes. This bit of sparkle will breath life into your picture. For your text. You must have imported your text from a word processor. This will give you crappy symbols for all your punctuation marks ', ", ; and -. Once you have imported your text go in and delete all these marks and just type them in again. That will kill all the dingbats. You can do it after you upload by hitting the edit key at the bottom of your picture and then erase all the dingbats and replace with the punctuation marks. Any questions you can site mail me... upper right hand corner. I work in poser 7, photoshop and psp.

Excellent work for a first render. Nice attention to detail with the posing, particularly the hand holding the goblet. You might like to add some point lights at each of the candle flames so they light the back walls a little to give some depth to the image.

Wonderful first render. you will do well I can see.

Lovely first render far better than my first uploaded render! I recommend you really look at the artists you like and see what they are doing. For me facial expressions and poses are the most important. You did very well with both. You should be proud of yourself.

You are off to a great start, many still do not do this well after several attempts. The software takes a bit of learning and then of course there is the desire to learn. I think you will go far.

I must agree! This is very good for your first attempt. You do have an eye for details and your lighting is very good. This image puts my first one to shame! You must be proud of yourself for producing a beautiful piece. Let me ask, do you use other mediums in art like painting, sculpting, sketching, etc?

This is very sharp work for your first post. Nice job on composing the picture, and posing your figure. Good luck, and we're looking forward to seeing more of your work.
