Description

This beautiful building is right on Michigan in downtown Chicago, near Millenium Park and The Bean. The nearby light post made this an irresistible shot!

Yes they sure are beautiful lights. I would love to visit Cloud Gate in person. I've only seen pictures but it looks great. I think I read the guy who designed it was Indian and that it's hollow on the inside.

Oh Tara - this is citiscape photography at its best! You did everything right! The compo is perfect with the contrast between old and new and that lamppost adds an amazing touch! And of cause - Tara's shot won't be Tara's shot without excellent light!!! A winner! :)

Beautiful image of this curious building. Looks like three different styles. The overall effect is very attractive. The lamp post does make the picture.

I think some really exclusive athletic association makes use of that building. I'm always tempted to go in and try to take pictures, but it has that moneyed members only look and feel to it up close. Nonetheless it's one of my favorite buildings in Chicago; and this is a wonderful shot of it...that lightpole with the globes is just stunning. The whole thing just rocks and wow...that was a good weekend. I still taste Reza's.

Wonderful view and building. A strong building - it has resisted the changes of time. Clive

Now thats architecture! Gorgeous old world style building, I love the bay windows at the top are the ones that have the look of cathedral windows. Simply beautiful! The title is perfect because of the style and that gorgeous street lamp. Brings Thomas Kinkaids paintings to mind and Smith Tower in Seattle! Spectacular work Tara!

Design and artistry versus mechano-set functionality. Great photo! (I'm sure you're a closet architect)
