Description

A male Passer melanurus (Cape Sparrow) being asked for food by his teenaged son. More commonly known as a gewone Mossie [Afrikaans] here in South Africa, as Carin and Christo will confirm! They are very common, having adapted well to the modification of habitats by humans. They were sitting on the fence sheltered by a tree, outside my bedroom window. Have a great day, Clive

Hey Clive - Happy 900th UPLOAD!!!!! huge applause What a joyful gallery you have and thank you for sharing your great art! The image - priceless... Before I read your narrative I thought the teenage Mossie was saying to his dad: "Are we there yet??" Wonderful catch!
