Description
It is said the Eskimos have a hundred words for snow. That turns out not to be strictly true, but it should be. It can take on endless different appearances.
This view was from Sublimity bridge, looking down toward the bank. It was a cloudy day, so the colors were muted a little bit. I compensated with only a slight push on brightness and contrast, approximating the appearance in clear daylight as closely as possible.
During this long blast of Arctic weather I have produced a lot of cool (you might even say downright cold!) pictures which I want to share, but sometimes, like yesterday, I have to take a break and post something warmer. In case you missed my last post, here it is;

Are you sure you didn't go away to Alaska to take this one? It sure is beautiful, I was amazed at all the frozen areas of the streams today while I was out. And about half of the little lake where I was at today was still iced over it sure was pretty to see. Have a great night.
