Description

An image depicting the desert at nighttime. Files used are: • Night Background clip file - by dandelO available at the Planetside forum. • Canyon - by Tangled_Universe - available at NWDA. • Dry Shrubs - by Walli - available at NWDA. The planet provided (used as the moon) with the Night Background file was overlaid on the sun. The visible disc of the sun was unchecked. Two cloud layers were added - one for above the horizon; one for below the horizon. Both cloud densities were set very low as were their altitude. I have some other points of view in mind for future scenes.

Excellent and mysterious render. Love the looming cliffs in the background. Eagerly awaiting some boffin @ Planetside forum to resolve the shadows / glow problem. Apart from a second crop render round planet or maybe uncheck "Shadows off atmosphere" in the lighting params, I'm clueless.

peut-être un peu trop d'étoiles avec cette lune magnifique, mais ce décors est grandiose !!

Good that DandelO's background worked - I know you've been striving for the (closest to) perfect nighttime look. The BG cliff face is looming, ghostly, and almost ominous...

Excellent Bob! Can't wait to see what else you might do with this scene! Can the new Terragen create realistic star fields as well?

I love the faint mountains and the plants. Very unusual effect, and it worked well.
